Short: V1.0, Prefix OctaMED mods with MMD?.* Author: andrew@ab2000.freeserve.co.uk (Andrew Bell) Uploader: andrew ab2000 freeserve co uk (Andrew Bell) Type: mus/misc Requires: OS39 (WB3.0+) and MC68020 Architecture: m68k-amigaos Uploaded on Saturday 6th of February 1999 PrefixMMD is FREEWARE, if you use it, e-mail the author with you comments. Remember to put 'PrefixMMD' in the subject, thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- PrefixMMD is a simple Shell based program I made in June 1998 and it's been sitting on my HD ever since and works very well. So, I have decided to upload it to Aminet because maybe it can be of some use to somebody out there. It allows you to clean up the names of your OctaMED modules by attaching a MMD0/MMD1/MMD2/MMD3.* prefix to the name. You pass the name of the directory you want to process (ie: the one that contains your mods) and PrefixMMD will rename all of the OctaMED modules that reside there, to the correct format. It will check to see if a MMD?.* prefix exists and if it is correct, it will also correct any OctaMED modules that have a MOD.* prefix. I suggest before running this program that you backup you modules in case it damages anything. Remember this program has not really be tested on any machine other than a A1200/OS39/030/NOFPU/32MEG. I doubt if there will be any updates for this program in future, unless there is a lot of demand. Please note: Protracker modules are not supported, but if you want them supported contact me and I will consider updating PrefixMMD. Enjoy :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parameters: DIR/A,ALL/S,UC=UPPERCASE/S DIR/A The location of the directory that you want to scan.
