These are the voyages of Ragnar and his ray tracers. Sometimes a mistake can lead to some interesting results. A couple of years back I was working on a maze in Imagine. I already had a 2D picture of one (a screendump from another program) so I just loaded it into Imagine, converted it to an object and extruded it. After a bit of tinkering and a couple of test renders I finally realized that I was working in the front view window, which meant that I had the whole maze standing on end rather than lying flat as intended. After going through all the wall objects to rotate them I did another test render, closely followed by a double take. It took just a few seconds to realize that I had given each object the correct alignment but forgotten to adjust their positions, so rather than lying side by side they were kind of standing on top of each other! Before correcting the error, I had another look at the test render and found that it looked kind of cool, so I did another full render - this one. A little side note: The maze layout has been around even longer than I've had an Amiga. It was first put together for a game on a different computer. To find out which one, have a look in the upper right corner and you'll see part of its logo!
