Short: LW traced pic of Space Lego, bAD l Author: bAD¢lANGUAGE/gE! Uploader: doneil central co nz (Dave O'Neil) Type: pix/trace Architecture: generic well i have been using lightwave for a number of months now and the only stuff i have really done is animations in which the purpose of creating them is just to see what a specific feature of lightwave can do, such as me Flag. buy anyway as a child i had lots of Space lego stuff and i decided to do a PROPER/REAL animation, ie: i am planning for it to be a little 3 minute long movie. i have finished modeling everything for it, some of the models are in this picture. well this picture is kind of ruff, like i just through the objects together in about 5 minutes and clicked on render! so the purple background is a mistake as i forgot to reset the backdrop colour to black after a previous project. you may also notice that the face of the lego man is to big, i have recently fixed that up so eveything is kewl. all the space lego objects are in proper scale like the real thing, i used a pair of dividers and measured each individual block and modeled them in modeller. my intention for this movie is to have the space lego in the Cartoon or Cel animation look, while all the environment is in 3D. well unfortuantely this project as been put on hold since my 030@25mhz is to damn slow ( i hate having to wait 20-30seconds for lightwave to redraw the obj's. i was gonna by one of those PPC boards from phase 5 (phase 5 are my gods! ;)) and hope that newtek would port LW to it, but it appears with the soon released version of LW5.5 that newtek have ditched the amiga and no more future version of Lightwave AMIGA will exist. so now i'm not gonna buy a PPC card as i have no need for it because of this, instead i will just have to wait for the all might kick arse a\BOX!!! hmm come to think of it now i want to send my flames and angur to Newtek, like all i have to say is why have you ditched the amiga? like ok so in MAY 1997 the amiga will once again have the power with these PPC boards, are you intending to develop LW for them and have real time shaded previews like LW5 on other platforms?? if not i wanna know why! like the amiga got newtek where it is today, if the amiga didn't exist there would be no toaster or lightwave. hmm come to think of it also i am a PAL user and would very much love to have a TOASTER but unfortunately i can't have one since it is an NTSC product, ok so there are NTSC->PAL signal convertors and TBC's but the price of them is more than the cost of an actual toaster and not to mention the quality loss. like that PASSPORT (i think) box which does this cost like $5000 bucks... ok well thats it for the talk, long live the amiga!! phuk the peecee and mac is lame.... bAD¢lANGUAGE
