Short: V6.2a shared library to load/save jpegs Author: paulhuxham@yahoo.com (Paul Huxham) Uploader: adr baud de (Andreas Mayer-Gürr) Type: util/libs Replaces: util/libs/jpeglibrary50.lha Architecture: m68k-amigaos; ppc-warpup For anyone who wants to use/manipulate jpeg files in their own applications, this library makes it very easy. jpeg.library is a shared library that can be used to examine, load and save jpeg images. You can have multiple jpegs objects (load/save), supports all the standard jpeg quality and smoothing parameters and can scale loaded images (smaller). Jpeg image data can reside on disk or in memory. You can read and write application markers with simple tags, or read/write X and Y aspect ratios/densities in a standard Adobe application marker. Example programs included. Version 6.2a adds the following features: * Full application marker support. Markers may be read and written, or just copied from a decompression stream to a compression stream. * Read and write the X and Y aspect ratio to/from standard Adobe markers (the defacto standard for storing this information). * Library calls are provided to manipulate a stream's markers, or you may manipulate the linked list of markers yourself (example code provided). * Fixes a bug resulting in a small memory loss if an allocate of a de/compression object fails. * WarpUp version by Oliver Roberts. * Preferences program for applications to control how often progress callbacks are called. ** This software is based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group.
