Setting Up
Fontmatrix is highly configurable. Most options are set once and forgotten via → . Text-layout-engine options are interactive in nature and live in a separate dialog ( → ) which always stays on top.
Ask for tag names when importing fonts defines whether the import flow opens a tag-assignment dialog. See the section called “Importing fonts”.
Show names of imported fonts after import process opens a dialog listing the names of the fonts that were just imported.
Show splash at startup hides the splash screen if disabled. The splash does not delay startup.
