Evocative image. The balconies are a nice touch. What's with the side of the
building facing to the left? Are those really long bricks, or oddly colored
wood? You might also see if Ray Dream has a way of making the water's edge
have different heights to match the waves, always a problem with normals.

Catchy title!

From amason@cs.uct.ac.za:
quite nice, but lighting and feel could be better. looks a bit
lacking in shadows and highlights, which would create
interest.

I like the water texture.

From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
some details, like the water bump map are quite good, but the lighting is quite
boring. It is generally not a very good idea to have the light shine parallel
to some of the scenes faces.

From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu:
Nice. In venice, all the buildings have clear high-water stains on the buildings, adding that to the textures would have increased the realism (and the scores).

From jaime@ctav.es:
Nice concept. Perhaps I disagree with light placement a bit (even it is very
correct, make all the scene a bit "flat".

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Good modelling on the buildings. Strange camera viewpoint -- too high for the first floor, too low for the second.
Much of the scene has an excessively grainy appearance.
Why wouldn't you want "water" to be the center of attention in the scene?

The empty streets combine wiith the 'rendered' signature combine to give a toy-like effect
Notable for composition
