Between the poor jpg conversion, loose theme connection, and the fact that the whole scene consists of a single image map, no, you can not expect to get anything higher than a 1 in my book. Taking advantage of loopholes won't gain you much respect anywhere.

I hope your animation submission is better. And please, if you don't plan on actually raytracing solid geometry, or at least applying _some_ effort, don't submit anything at all.

It looks pretty blurry and "artificaty". Had you modelled
the scene, I would have liked it a lot more. I've been to
this garden...

Violates the rules.

One of those "Get that entry in at all costs." things huh!?

From ianshumsky@hotmail.com:
A really great idea, but a pity you didn't have time to do
your image.

bah, humbug.

From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com:
Not a good idea to put a picture. Who owns the official copyright to that
picture ? did you ask for permission to use ?
Well if you cannot submit entries to two competitions then just do one of them
please. Your loosing your time, mine and a bit of your reputation. I don't mean
to sound too harsh now, but I want to be firm.

From karl@pemail.net:
If you must do something as basic as this then you could
at least have used a higher resolution source image - this
just looks a blurry mess and the artifacts from the original
file are clearly visible.

From albiaprime@aol.com:
Technical - just like you said in your .txt file
Artistic - the photographer had an eye for balance and placement of objects within the picture
Theme - original intrepretation of the theme

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
At least you could have used a decently scanned photo...
