They look huggable enough... good fuzz, good 1st entry.

Some good work on the bear. I keep noticing that the elements keep tending to look out of proportion though. Also, quite a twist of the theme, I'm not so sure many people will interpret it the way you meant it to be.

Work on the lighting. THe image, as it is, looks a bit too flat. Nice idea though :)

Very fine technical job...Beautiful bowl..nice fuzzy bears

A smaller size and a better JPEG quality factor would have made an overall much better image to look at. The JPEG artifacts are really very strong and very disturbing.
The water doesn't really look like what when someone splashes in.

But, don't apologize for the fur trick. Everything is allowed, as long as it looks fine. 3D imaging is not about simulating reality, it is about achieving looks.

An interesting little story is told in this image. But I'm afraid it's a bit hard to decypher by itself.

At first i thought you'd missed the topic, but then after reading your text, i see you'd actually thought it through quite well. Nice interpretation.

Interesting idea, but it didn't really come across in the
image. The bears need more expression to pull it off..
Nice bowl and cups. Rolling your own fluid sim seems like
a lot of trouble for the result. The Colefax spray include or
a suitably noisy isosurface might have served at least as
well. Doesn't Peter Murray have the IRTC patent on teddy
bears (grin)?

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
The fur for the bears works quite well, and you managed
to do a good job of creating the wet fur effect. The
puddles on the floor are done well. I agree that the
water in the bowl is too turbulent.

I like brown or black teddy bears better. :) This is very well done. There are what appears to be severe jpeg artifacts on the blocks though.

From slone@hiwaay.net:
Very nice bears, with an especially good expression on the hesitant
bear! I thought the water was a bowl of ice, thus the frozen moment.
Nice puddles also.
